Yesterday I'm riding my '98 (1300 mi.) and I go to upshift and--- NOTHING!
I pull over, and there is the linkage rod snapped clean in half. How the hell does that happen?
There is no stress on this part to speak of, there was no noticable damage, the bike has never been down.
I cannot think of any reason at all why this part should break. What happens next- the handlebars break in half?
